Cycling Coach Designed Series are Far Superior

There are 2 major problems with training programs that are not created by a cycling coach:
  • The Fitness clubs or on-line group workouts are targeted towards high heart rate efforts, but they do not concentrate on building leg strength for climbing and endurance needed for real-world long hours in the saddle
  • The spin-watching-TV cyclists concentrate on long endurance workouts, but they do not ignore building leg strength and anaerobic climbing

Science has proven that there are 3 areas of concentration that the cyclist must train to be successful:
    1    Strength Building for the legs
    2   Flat Terrain endurance pedaling for both faster and farther
    3    Hill Climbing and anaerobic that is faster, both seated and standing  
Of equal importance, science has also proven that to optimize cycling results, the concentration for the above 3 must be in the exact order listed above, first strength building, then endurance, then hill climbing.

Coach Darryl’s Workouts Are Designed as a Series

All of Coach Darryl’s stationary trainer series are designed to:
    1    Concentrate on strength building in the first third of the series workouts, then on endurance in the middle third and finally on climbing and anaerobic in the final third of the series
    2    Start easier for the earlier workouts, with each workout become harder as the cyclist becomes stronger to peak fitness at the end of the series, this is impossible for individual or group workouts 
And, unlike a class, the cyclist can pedal any workout multiple times until ready to progress to the next workout in the series.
Don’t waste your time on repetitive individual workouts that will not make you as strong!

"I love these local people. More pigs than people on this island. An ocean full of fish. Your trainer sessions are harder than the actual workouts on the mountain. If I do 2 of your sessions during the week then take 2 days off the saddle, I smoke my friends on the mountain. I have energy to attack at the top. I pretend to be tired while staying with them until the last 3 miles. Then I go. I haven’t told them the secret formula.  I’m nearly 56 years old and my riding buddies are 3 in shape guys in their early 30’s. We are competitive. They smoke me at running. And surfing but I’m a newbie and if I manage to stand up it is only momentary. Great guys."
